Ronhill Freedom Trail Running Shoes
The state of being free or at liberty, rather than in confinement or under physical restraint. The power to determine action without restraint. To run across many different surfaces and experience many different distances. Running from your front door, to the trails, over hills, through forests, then all the way back again. Capable of tackling any terrain, with enough comfort and protection to keep you running all day long. This is freedom.
MATRYX Upper
The upper of the Freedom has been created from reinforced Kevlar for ultimate coverage and protection against the trials of the trails. It is a zonal one-piece upper designed for use in wet conditions, with every zoned area fulfilling the demands of said area. This singular piece reduced the overall weight of the shoe for faster-feeling feet and reduced the risk of chafing and irritation to the foot caused by seams. A wrap-over tongue is split and extends over both sides of the upper for a more cradled fit around the midfoot, whilst circular laces glide easily through the lace loops for precise adjustments to the fit and easy on/off. The true-fit last shape ensures natural movement of the foot and toe splay, preventing constriction. The upper is finished with a sturdy heel cup for excellent levels of stability on technical terrain and reflective trim for visibility in low light.
Duo-Pro Midsole
The midsole of the Freedom is made from dual-density Duo-Pro foam. The top layer is softer to provide comfort and a cushioned-feeling ride, whilst the bottom layer is firmer to provide greater stability. The combination of the two provides you with everything you need to push it to the max out of the trails, providing you with a fast and efficient feel.
OC1 MICHELIN Outsole
The outsole of the Freedom is crafted from an OC1 rubber compound from Michelin. It stands for 'Outdoor Compound 1' and is an extremely robust and durable rubber suitable for hard and abrasive surfaces whilst allowing great traction on trails. 4mm lugs bite into the ground to provide excellent traction across off-trail terrain and muddy trails.
