Leather Upper with GORE-TEX Membrane

Keeping feet dry and comfortable during alpine adventures, these boots have a GORE-TEX upper construction, which provides you waterproof, breathable and windproof protection. This high-performing three-layer waterproof recycled construction is highly durable, working to keep feet, as well as the boots highly protected. The GORE-TEX liner is combined with robust leather produced in Leather Working Group-certified tanneries, this provides a supportive fit that can withstand the abuse of the trail, and moulded ankle support helps to keep you protected. Overlays have been welded onto the shoes, ensuring complete protection and boosted waterproofing as seams are eliminated from design. Synthetic mudguards wrap around the base of the upper, effectively blocking water, mud and sharp rocks from causing discomfort and distraction. Specifically added for protection from injury when climbing rocks, a molded-rubber toe cap and scratch-rubber heel have been added. Finally, a secure lacing system has been utilised to lock the midfoot securely into the shoe for minimal slippage. With metal eyelets for durable and tight wear.

Lightweight EVA Midsole

Utilising a lightweight superfoam, the midsole of the Verto Alpine boosts your confidence in every step by providing great stability, protection and energy return. When striking down on unforgiving surfaces, shock is absorbed into the foam, dissipating direct impact and protecting your joints and feet from injury. The absorbed impact is released within your following stride, boosting you forwards and injecting energy into the hike ahead. For better midfoot support, a rigid stability shank has been added to the midsole, reducing foot fatigue. Below the foam The North Face have implemented their SKYCORE rock guard, providing great protection and shielding the underfoot from sharp rocks for a worry-free venture.

Vibram XS Trek Outsole

The North Face Verto GORE-TEX Alpine are finished with a Vibram XS Trek outsole that delivers an optimal balance of traction and durability, providing long-lasting grip adventure after adventure. Designed to be responsive on unpredictable terrain, these shoes will help you move with confidence and ensure stability and comfort all day long, reducing the risk of injury and helping you get the most out of your hike. 5mm multi-directional lugs dig into the ground to enhance traction, while the braking zone at the heel prevents the foot from slipping during steep ascents. Completing the outsole is a climbing zone that provides extra friction for precise foot placement, edging, and smearing on the ground.
