Measurement Information

Please make all measurements close up to the body and in cm.

Height: Measure from head to toe, without wearing shoes. It works better by the door frame.

Chest: Measure horizontally across the most prominent part of the chest.

Waist: Measure the waist at the narrowest part of the torso.

Hips: Use the tape to measure the most prominent part of the bottom.

Inside leg length: Vertical distance between the crotch and the floor.

Arm length: To determine the arm length, measure the outer part of the arm, from the top of the arm, over the elbow, and down to the wrist. The elbow should be at a slight angle.

Footwear

Tip: Measuring is more accurate if you are wearing socks. For best results, wear the socks that you would wear with the shoes.

Always measure both feet and use the results from the bigger foot. If you are in between two sizes, we advise you to order the larger one.

Backpacks

Measurement Guide: 

• To calculate your own back length, measure from the shoulder to the upper edge of the pelvic bone.

When selecting your backpack size, there are two important criteria to consider: capacity and back length. On all Jack Wolfskin backpack models, the greater the back length, the larger the capacity of the main chamber. We give the back length for backpacks that are primarily used for treks of one or several days.

You can find the back length next to the product description on the product page of each backpack. Backpacks with “WOMEN” in the name indicate that the suspension system is designed for women, as opposed to our unisex models.
