The Genesis has been constructed using Salomon's unique Matryx construction, to keep your feet protected, cool and comfortable on the trails. The materials are highly durable and abrasive-resistant, to protect your feet from knocks and bumps and provide you with a long-lasting pair of shoes that you can rely on for every adventure. The fabrics are highly breathable to help prevent overheating and keep feet cool and cosy on long trail adventures, whilst moisture-wicking properties help to reduce a build-up of sweat and moisture, therefore keeping feet dry on the move. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside, supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Strategically placed overlays further protect the shoes from damage and keep your feet shielded from rocks and debris. OptiFOAM is a lightweight, springy and resilient foam compound that powers your stride forward. This lightweight, responsive delivers a maximum level of cushioning to ensure optimum in-shoe comfort and a responsive ride. Shock-absorbing properties prevent discomfort or injury by absorbing the impact caused by striking down on tough and changing surfaces. The Genesis uses an Active Chassis that provides support, helping to prevent injuries and keeping feet comfortable.
All-Terrain Contagrip Outsole
Crafted with an All-Terrain Contagrip, the outsole perfectly balances geometry with rubber to deliver confident running on a wide range of surfaces. The outsole has a unique two-part lug pattern along with a raised tread, which offers an adaptable secure grip, even on difficult terrains and sketchy situations.
