What was your first impression of the Gel-Kayano 32?

The Kayano 32 has a modern, sporty look with clean lines and high-quality materials. The colour combinations are fresh and dynamic without being overbearing. The new mesh heel construction and reflective elements in particular emphasise the high-quality impression.

How would you describe the fit & feel of the Gel-Kayano 32?

The fit is well-balanced and comfortable overall, with enough space in the toe box. From the very first step, the Kayano 32 delivers a sense of stability and comfort without feeling heavy.

How do you rate the upper, midsole, and outsole of the Gel-Kayano 32?

The engineered knit mesh adapts well to different foot shapes, and the tongue is elastic and padded, ensuring a secure fit. The new FlyteFoam Blast Plus Eco midsole is softer than before, whilst still providing support. The 4D Guidance System subtly supports foot guidance without being restrictive. The hybrid outsole feels durable, combining firm and soft rubber for excellent grip, even on wet surfaces.

What type of runs is the Gel-Kayano 32 best suited for?

The Kayano 32 is suitable for both beginners and elite runners, and in my opinion, it’s an excellent choice for recovery runs or standard steady runs.

What was your first impression of the Superblast 2?

At first glance, the Superblast 2 looks premium and sporty, with a bold yet stylish design. Its tall midsole gives the shoe a striking silhouette that instantly stands out. The color options are modern and well-coordinated – perfect for runners who also want to make a visual statement!

How would you describe the fit & feel of the Superblast 2?

The fit is overall slighlty narrower and shorter. The tongue sits comfortably against the foot without causing pressure points. From the very first try-on, the shoe feels light, comfortable, and springy.

How do you rate the upper, midsole, and outsole of the Superblast 2?

The engineered woven mesh upper is soft, flexible, and highly breathable. The combination of FlyteFoam Blast Turbo Plus (top) and Blast Plus Eco (bottom) provides a soft landing and high energy return. The rocker geometry supports a dynamic rollover, almost like a carbon shoe – just without the carbon plate, which makes it far more versatile. The outsole offers good grip but is overall softer and feels less robust compared to the other two shoes.

What type of runs is the Superblast 2 best suited for?

This shoe is a true all-rounder, suitable for any running level. Medium-paced sessions and long runs work especially well with these shoes.

Metaspeed Sky Tokyo

What was your first impression of the Metaspeed Sky Tokyo?

The shoe looks extremely sporty and fast – even right out of the box it delivers a pure racing vibe. Its sleek silhouette, dynamic color accents, and the visible carbon plate in the midsole design highlight its high-performance character. It’s extremely light (around 170 g) and feels instantly bouncy and responsive.

How would you describe the fit & feel of the Metaspeed Sky Tokyo?

The shoe is incredibly light, you can hardly feel it at all! It fits true to size and provides a performance fit with a bit more volume in the forefoot – ideal for toe splay and preventing swelling during longer runs.

How do you rate the upper, midsole, and outsole of the Metaspeed Sky Tokyo?

The MotionWrap 3.0 mesh upper is ultra-light, breathable, and stable, adapting well to the foot while ensuring secure lockdown without pressure points. The ride feels trampoline-like soft in the heel area and structured-fast in the forefoot. This is perfect for “stride” runners who build their speed through long strides. The outsole of the Metaspeed Sky Tokyo is very firm and robust, designed to endure long tempo sessions as well as marathons.

The Metaspeed Sky Tokyo should only be worn by advanced and elite runners. It’s a true specialist when it comes to chasing faster times and is ideal for race day.
