GORE-TEX Upper

The Rapid XT is a protective, comfortable pair of hiking shoes with a water-resistant suede leather upper, alongside a GORE-TEX membrane to keep feet well-protected in the poor conditions of your hike, whilst also ensuring feet remain dry from wet weather. The suede construction is highly durable to ensure optimum support and protection across the constantly shifting conditions of the trails, whilst the water-resistant properties prevent light rain and moisture from getting your feet wet and uncomfortable. Working alongside this is strategically placed mesh, present in areas of the shoes that are usually high-heat to keep feet feeling cool and comfortable. The GORE-TEX ePE membrane prevents water from entering the shoes, keeping feet dry and fresh, even in more treacherous conditions. The materials are also moisture-wicking to prevent a build-up of moisture, ensuring dry, cosy feet when things begin to heat up. Additionally, the material's durability ensures feet are protected from knocks and bumps, while the abrasion-resistant TPU rand helps prevent injuries and discomfort. Working to ensure feet have the best possible fit and in-shoe sensation, the shoes utilise Scarpa's ActivFit System, providing an optimised in-shoe feel with space for toes to splay, and feet to relax without feeling cramped. An Exo upper construction also provides lateral protection, creating an exoskeleton that enhances protection, support and containment. The innovative shape, wide and ergonomic at the toe, is designed to follow the contours of the foot. Finally, this shoe utilises a traditional lacing system and a soft tongue and collar to provide feet with a locked-in, secure fit, helping prevent in-shoe slipping from occurring during excessive movement.

EVA Midsole

The Rapid XT GORE-TEX has a multi-density EVA midsole to provide feet with optimum cushioning and increased comfort on future hiking adventures. This comfortable cushioning provides feet with an outstanding level of underfoot cushioning and shock absorption to help lessen impact when striking rocky or hard surfaces, helping prevent injuries and joint discomfort. Propelling you into your next step, a Dynamic Protection System (DPS) in the forefoot adds protection, propulsion and edging capabilities. Keeping you confident and ready to tackle the next hurdle, the shoes have an OrthoLite sockliner to increase in-shoe comfort and long-term cushioning, whilst creating a cooler, drier, healthier environment in your shoes. A TPU insert is placed in the medial area of the midsole to enhance in-shoe stability, keeping you supported on tricky paths.

Agility XT Vibram Megagrip Outsole

Ensuring excellent traction on various surfaces, on both wet and dry, the shoes feature an Agility XT Vibram Megagrip Rubber Outsole with climbing zones to keep you stable and secure on changing trails during your next adventure. Great for hikes where the weather changes frequently, the Vibram Megagrip outsole offers an incomparable combination of grip and durability, providing the ideal high-performing rubber compound for demanding hikes. The climbing zones are present at the toe to enhance traction, allowing feet to grip rocks, whilst the Brake System at the back further enhances your stability. The outsole features grippy lugs that dig deep into muddy and wet grounds.
