MATRYX Upper
Crafted from a MATRYX upper, the Kinabalu Ultra is highly durable and built for long days on the trail. MATRYX is reinforced with individually coated yarns that combine lightness, breathability and support, ensuring long-term performance and confidence on any terrain. The lightweight upper encourages cool air to flow while releasing built-up heat, keeping feet cool and comfortable no matter how intense your run becomes. The shoes include a padded tongue to relieve pressure from the laces and a padded collar to enhance comfort and promote better lockdown. A traditional lacing system locks in the fit, helping you feel secure and confident. Completing the upper, a toe guard keeps your feet protected from knocks and scrapes.
Kinetic Nitrogen Foam Midsole
Scott has used its lightest and most responsive foam to date, and then made it even lighter and more responsive. Enhancing the properties of previous versions, the Kinetic Nitrogen foam has even more rebound in an even lighter package. The foam is created by infusing nitrogen, expanding the midsole for an exceptionally comfortable landing. This enhances forward propulsion and absorbs impact, reducing stress on joints and minimising the risk of injury or discomfort during runs. Soft, light and responsive, offering high levels of durability, the Kinabalu keeps you running faster for longer. Whether it is freezing or blisteringly hot, the shoe will perform the same.
